When searching for Toronto lofts for sale, buyers tend to look at the interior, character features that we all love about lofts - soaring ceilings, exposed brick and/or concrete, open concept spaces - but there are some lofts in Toronto and surrounding areas with some pretty stellar exterior features.

Here’s a round-up of our favourite Toronto loft rooftops to socialize and soak up the sun this summer.

#1 The Merchandise Lofts

The Merchandise Lofts at 155 Dalhousie Street on the eastern edge of the downtown core is not only one of our favourite Toronto lofts for its interior character and beauty, the common area rooftop is one of the best amenities of any Toronto condo or loft building. Period.

Why? It offers stellar views (pictured above and in our lead image) along with BBQs, picnic tables and a loft community who’s social events rival the local bar scene.

#2 Pure Spirit Lofts

The Pure Spirit Lofts at 33 Mill Street in the Distillery Distirct has a stellar skyline view (above) from one of the most enviable rooftop patios in all of Toronto. It boasts an outstanding outdoor pool (below), BBQs and cozy lounge seating areas to watch the sunset from.

#3 The Verve

The Verve rooftop deck and pool is one of the best outdoor condo spaces in the city and, unsurprisingly, the social hub of the building. Don’t let the unassuming exterior of this soft loft fool you; this is a stellar loft building and the units here are real gems (with the rooftop as the crowning jewel).

#4 Corktown District II

Corktown District II in King West is a really nice, mid-rise soft loft with a rooftop patio, complete with BBQs, that overlooks the downtown core. The roof of the Corktown District Lofts turns into a big party area at times; this loft community has a really good vibe.

#5 South Beach Condos & Lofts in Humber Bay Shores, South Etobicoke

The South Beach Condos & Lofts are a relative newcomer to South Etobicoke’s burgeoning loft scene and the rooftop patio takes full advantage of some of the best vantage points in the GTA.

We really don’t have to say much about the A+ pool and lounge area (this photo says it all) but if you want to read more about the condo developments here, have a read of’s post on the best re-sale condos in Humber Bay Shores.
